Denham Springs Woman Burglarizes Central Resident
Jerilynn Wimes of Denham Springs was arrested at the Central EBR Sherriff’s substation Monday on felony charges of Theft, Simple Burglary, and Theft of Firearms, and was booked into EBR Parish Prison.
According to police reports, Wimes visited the Biltmore home of a childhood friend and apparently stole keys to the home, returning a week later to steal over $4,000 worth of firearms, electronics, and other items.
The accused reportedly admitted to the theft in a text message to the victim, stating that she had pawned the items in Denham Springs. Livingston Parish detectives confirmed that some of the items were in the possession of a pawn shop. Other stolen items were found in Wimes’ car when she turned herself in after being contacted by EBRSO.
