Lacey Allphin and Alex Anderson to Wed in April

    Johnnie and Wanda Allphin of Baton Rouge announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lacey Darlene Allphin, to Alex Richard Anderson, son of Judge Richard and Suzanne Anderson of Central, at an engagement party hosted at the home of Mrs. Johnell Allphin, with family Kermit and Brookie Allphin Smith, Brenna and August Perez IV, and Brittany Allphin-Smith on 6 December 2014.  
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Johnell Allphin and the late Mr. John Allphin, Jr. of Baton Rouge and Mr. and Mrs. Arliss McClendon of McComb, Mississippi.  She is a graduate of Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2013.  She is a Registered Nurse at the Baton Rouge General Hospital.  
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Alton and Mary Lou Anderson, Vi Broes Anderson of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Clifton and Dolores Laurent of Addis, Louisiana and the late LaNell H. Laurent.  He is a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University in 2012. He is a Project Manager/Designer with Makaira Landscape. 
    The couple will marry under the Campanile Memorial Tower of LSU at a 6:30 pm ceremony on 11 April 2015, where they were happily engaged.
