Benefit Saturday for Colton Townsend
Colton Townsend is now 7 months old. At the beginning of October, Colton was rushed to the ER and a bleed was found on his brain. He immediately went into emergency brain surgery. Colton was placed on a ventilator and was in the ICU for several weeks before being transferred to New Orleans to OLOL Children's Hospital for further evaluation. The bleeding is now controlled and Colton is having to undergo extensive therapy to regain strength on his right side. He is a fighter and he is pushing through, but he still has a long road to a full recovery. By the time Colton is one year of age, the physicians and therapists will be able to tell what deficits Colton will have (if any) as he continues to grow.
A benefit will be held for Colton on December 13 from 11 to 3 at the Central Square Pavilion behind the Cane's and CVS at Sullivan and Wax Road. There will be live music from BURNHOUSE Band, a fun jump and face painting for the kids, pastalaya lunches, and many other activities. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping by to visit the kids, so we encourage everyone to bring their cameras! Raffle tickets are currently for sale for $5/ticket for a drawing to be held at 2pm at the benefit. There are great items to give away in the raffle including two $100 Visa gift cards, many gift cards from local restaurants, and other great prizes!
