In Memoriam: Jewel Clifton Robertson

    Jewel Clifton Robertson, 86, of Central, LA, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He served and defended his country in the United States Air Force. He also was an avid fisherman, gardener and LSU fan. Jewel enjoyed time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Central, LA on Sunday, July 20. Jewel is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Millicent "Kitty" Robertson; sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley "Gene" and Rhonda Robertson, Kevin and Liz Robertson, and Mark Robertson; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Don Robertson; parents, John and Martha Shelton Robertson; and siblings, Romey, Tomey, Houston and Ralph Robertson, Margie Daigre, and Libby Higginbottom. A very special thank you to his dear friends and neighbors, Nita and Greg Cambre for their love and care for Jewel and his family during this difficult time.
