In Memoriam: Jacquelyn “Jacquie” Lee Whittington

    A loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who spent her life caring for others. Jacquie, a lifelong resident of the Baton Rouge area, was a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing. Jacquie was a registered nurse at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center for 35 years and was working at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. An avid reader who loved to travel, Jacquie’s lasting legacy will be her love for and dedication to her family. 
    Jacquie is survived by her parents, Sidney Ray and Kathleen Dale Lee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Brooke Whittington and Sean and Courtney Whittington; two grandchildren, Cormac Whittington and Evangeline Whittington; sisters, Darlene Rich, Rayetta deMond and husband John, and Joan Lee and Nathan Gibson; and brothers, Gary Lee and wife Cindy and Wesley Lee and wife Esther. 
    Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 10:30 am until service time at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Children’s Miracle Network, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, 5000 Hennessey Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70808.
