In Memoriam: J F “Johnnie” Harold Fussell

    J F Harold Fussell, "Johnnie", was born August 14, 1925 and passed away on Sunday, June 01, 2014. He was a 40 year employee of Kaiser Aluminum and a U.S. Army WWII veteran serving proudly under General George S. Patton, receiving a purple heart & a bronze star.

    He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy B. Fussell; children: Sandra Vige and husband Charles, Billy Fussell and wife Phyllis, Michael Fussell and wife Brenda, Eddie Ray Fussell and wife Cindy, Theresa Dove and husband Roger, and Danny Fussell and wife Patty; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren & 1 due in September, 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Sally Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He is preceded in death by his parents Otis and Velma Fussell; sister Juette Bourg; brothers: Daryel, Howard, Jewell, and Richard Fussell.

    Harold was a long time member of Hooper Road Baptist Church and current member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

    Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, 1014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and continuing on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

    Pallbearers will be Billy Fussell, Mike Fussell, Eddie Ray Fussell, Danny Fussell, Joshua Hinton, and Casey Hinton. Harold will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
