    James 1:19 – "So then, my beloved brethern, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath."

    One of Shane's handwritten notes read, "Bearing the cross daily is not easy by far. Sacrifice is not easy when surrounded by ones who look at it as foolish.  I am patient."

    After a brief illness, Shane was called home on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was 34 yrs. old.

In celebration of Shane's life, friends are invited to a memorial service at Seale Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Road, Central, LA 70818 on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM.

    He is survived by his mother, Lisa D. Dreher; sisters, Jennifer and Rachel Wilcox; brother, John F. Wilcox; maternal grandparents, James and Maudie Dixon; nieces, Carson, Ainsleigh, Hannah and Emma; nephew, Easton.

    Preceded in death by his father, John C. Wilcox, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Earline and John C. Wilcox, Sr.

    Shane will always be remembered for his "Heart of Gold" and his genuine and kind spirit.

He loved spending time with family and friends, collecting unique items, reading, music, and being outdoors.
