Hula Hoop Competition Coming to Cooking in Central

By popular demand, this year’s Cooking In Central event will feature a Hula Hoop Contest. Participants will be divided into four age groups: 0 to 6 year olds, 7 to 12 year olds, 13 to 18 year olds, and 19 and over. Winners in each age group will be awarded a prize in this inaugural event. Entrants are encouraged to bring their own hula hoop and can pick up entry forms at Ross Tire & Service or at the Cooking information booth. Preliminary competition will be held Friday, May 30th, at 7:15 pm and the finals will take place Saturday, May 31st, at 12 noon. Individuals are encouraged to practice ahead of time as the competition promises to be furious.
