In Memoriam: Lee Jines
Lee R. Jines, a resident of Knoxville, TN, died Sunday April 27, 2014 in Knoxville, TN from a massive stroke. He was born January 16, 1941 in Baton Rouge, LA. Lee was an Army veteran. He was active in the ceramic and sculpture art community, little theater, commercial modeling, and has appeared in a few movies.
He is survived by two children, a son Truett Jines and wife Sophie of Wood-Ridge, NJ, a daughter Shiloh Jines of Knoxville, Tn; a brother Jean Jines and wife Bernadine of Enon, OH, a brother Floyd Jines and wife Betty of Central, and a sister Mary C. "Cathy" Feig of Baton Rouge. Lee is also survived by his former wife and the mother of his children Pamela Jines of Knoxville, TN who has remained an "Old Friend" and supporter. He was preceded in death by his parents Jasper "Buster" Jines and Edith McGuire Jines of Central and a brother Roger Jines of Central. His body was cremated.
There will be a "tribute" to him with a display of some of his art work at the Knoxville FirstFriday art show that will be held August 1, 2014 in Knoxville, TN.
