Jason Ellis Elected to City Council

    Newcomer Jason Ellis won the fifth and final position on city council in Central’s first ever runoff election last Saturday, May 3rd against incumbent Ralph Washington.  Ellis, an engineer with Forte and Tablada, won with 58.31% of the vote, or 2,066 out of 3,543 votes cast.  The voter turnout was 17.8% of registered voters.  Jason Ellis will take office beginning in June with the rest of the newly elected council members, mayor, and chief of police.  Ellis is married to Kim Carmena Ellis and father to Jackson and Karson.
