Benefit for Elizabeth Carrier

There will be a benefit on Saturday, April 26 at Blackie’s Place, 10010 Sullivan Road, to benefit the family of Elizabeth Carrier and help with funeral expenses. Jambalaya and white beans will be served at $7 a plate from 11am until food runs out! They will deliver if 5 or more plates are ordered. Contact Monique Verkaik at (225) 975-0826.
There will also be a $5 raffle for a rifle, a shotgun, a pistol, and a $100 gift card to J. Alexander’s restaurant. The drawing will be at 8pm. You do not need to be present to win. A background check will be performed before the transfer of the guns. Tickets are available at Studio Vogue Salon & Boutique, Blackie’s Place, Central Pharmacy, Dr. Scott Browning’s office, Dr. Bossier’s office, Hunt’s Tire, Carlton’s, and Park Forest Animal Hospital.
