Sandy Stockwell Named Co-Op Leader of the Year

Dunbar "Dun" and Sandra "Sandy" Stockwell of Central attended the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Annual Conference last week in New Orleans where, during the conference, the Louisiana Council of Farmer Cooperatives presented Sandy Stockwell with the "Co-op Leader of the Year" award. Sandy will be retiring after 35 years working for the Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives as Director of Statewide Services. Part of her job has been coordinating the Rural Electric Youth Tour trip to Washington, D.C. where she has traveled with over 1,000 high school students over the past 25 years to tour DC and meet with our congressional delegation. DEMCO sponsors four students each year through their contest.
