Nominate Central’s Citizens of the Year

    Representatives from Central's charitable organizations will be selecting Central's 2013 "Citizen of the Year.”  Send your nomination of 1,000 words or less to [email protected] or P.O. Box 78137, Central, LA  70837.  Central's "Citizen of the Year" will be a resident of the City of Central or the Central Community School District whose actions, efforts, and service during 2013 have been significant, selfless, and dedicated to the betterment of the Central Community.  Lifetime Citizenship Awards may also be given for persons who have displayed a continuous dedication to the Central Community.  Nominations are due by December 31st.
    Last year's recipient was Will Easley, and the Lifetime Citizenship Award was given to Central Fire Chief Bill Porche.
