CCA Forum November 19

The next CCA Forum will be held November 19th at 7PM in the DEMCO meeting room. The topic is The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and How it Will Impact Central Residents. Vicki S. Dufrene from the Louisiana Department of Insurance will be the speaker.
Vicki came to the Louisiana Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) in 2001 with a long history of service in the senior beneficiary arena. SHIIP provides objective counseling, outreach, and materials in all areas of the senior insurance market at no cost to consumers. This includes: Medicare, Medicaid programs for Medicare beneficiaries, Medicare Supplement insurance (Medigap), Medicare Advantage e.g. Medicare HMOs, Private Fee-for-Service, Long Term Care insurance, and Medicare Part D.
Vicki is a member of the various SALT councils (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together). She also represents the Louisiana Department of Insurance at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners quarterly conference by serving on the Seniors Issues Task Force and the Long Term Care Working Group. Vicki serves on the National SHIIP Steering Committee and is also the Louisiana representative at the national SHIIP conference and serves on several of the committees relative to the national level.
