Relay for Life & the Central Gleaux Run Coming November 16th

By  |

Central Relay for Life will be held on November 16th at the new school complex on Sullivan Road, and it includes several fun activities as part of the event to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  The event will take place in the evening, beginning at 5PM.  There will be a silent auction, pet parade, and food and drinks for sale.  A new addition to this year’s event is the Gleaux Run 5K.  This nighttime run is a fun opportunity to wear light-up and glow items.  After the run, around 9PM, there will be a luminaria ceremony to honor and remember those in our lives who have been affected by, or who have lost their lives to, cancer.  Cancer survivors are invited to join the run free of charge.  If you are a cancer survivor and would like to sign up for the Gleaux Run, please sign up at www.relayforlife.org/centralla.  All other participants should register at www.active.com.  Search for the Central Gleaux Run.  The cost for advance registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.  Each registrant will receive a t-shirt on race day.  Proceeds from registration and from all items sold at Relay will go to the American Cancer Society.  Please email [email protected] with any questions.  Additionally, all cancer survivors are invited to a free pancake breakfast from 9-11 AM on November 16th at Blackwater Methodist.  Visit www.relayforlife.org/centralla and sign up so that we know to expect you.
