Bank of Zachary Welcomes Two New Officers

    Zachary, LA – The Bank of Zachary added two new officers to its staff in September, President and Chief Executive Officer Preston L. Kennedy announced today.  Russell Blanchard (pictured, left)has joined the Bank of Zachary as Vice President in charge of Enterprise Risk Management.  Lyle Matherne (right) has been named a Vice President and will be focused on business development in Central City and the surrounding areas.  
    A certified public accountant, Mr. Blanchard comes to the Bank of Zachary after a long association with the public accounting firm of Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP.  He is a member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs and Forum 35. A native of Plaquemine and resident of Zachary, Mr. Blanchard is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.
    Mr. Matherne has been a business banker for 13 years, having previously worked in the mortgage industry, and for a loan software company.  He is a native and resident of Baton Rouge.   Mr. Matherne is active in the Capital Area March of Dimes and the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana.  He is a graduate of Louisiana State University, and a member of the LSU Tiger Alumni Band. 
    Founded in 1904, the Bank of Zachary is the oldest State chartered bank in East Baton Rouge Parish. It is locally owned and operated with all decisions made locally. Hometown banking is Bank of Zachary’s mission and its specialty.
