Casey and Dianna Patterson of Patterson Homes are invested in Central in more than just the business sense. Both graduates of Central High, they offer their clients only the very best in service and materials because they truly care about their town. Casey had 8 years' experience in the construction business framing houses with his father in law before he branched out to form Patterson Homes in 2004. He personally oversees each project. "When you hire us, you don't get a superintendent on your job site, you get the business owner himself," Dianna, who handles the accounting side, says proudly, "We offer personalized, hands-on attention."
All of Patterson Homes' subcontractors are licensed, and they use only the highest quality materials and construction methods in creating each of their projects. Clients begin by meeting with Casey and Dianna, either with their architect, or to select from a large number of designs Patterson Homes offers. Customized floor plans can also be obtained. Options are examined and discussed, unique details determined, and a price agreed upon. At that point, once the contract is signed, unless the client changes an option the price is fixed. Patterson Homes takes pride in the fact that every project they work on is either finished on time or ahead of time. When one considers that they've built approximately 100 homes since opening business, that's an impressive record. They have an in-house landscape designer and interior decorator, Malane Landry of Signature Southern Accents at their clients' disposal to help them fine tune their choices.
Casey estimates that about 80% of their business comes from referrals. Satisfied customers have written about how Patterson Homes is "always on top of things", how Casey "went beyond on things he didn't have to," and how they "wouldn't have expected anything else because they know his (Casey's) work ethic." High praise, and well deserved. Patterson Homes has been recognized twice by the Baton Rouge Parade of Homes with their "Curb Appeal" Award. They have also been named among the top 15 biggest builders in the Baton Rouge Business Report. Patterson Homes is a member of CRBA, The National Homebuilders' Association, and the Louisiana Home Builders Association. Brittney Pino Gautreaux is proud to represent them.
Reputation is important to the Pattersons on a personal level as well. They have 3 children, and spend their free time pouring their energy into coaching football for the SLYFA youth Wildcats, coaching the Wildcat Biddy Cheerleaders, and coaching baseball. Being residents of Central, they want to do what is best for the city by doing what is best for its citizens. They even bring all scrap wood and sheet rock to Dennis Stewart to be recycled as mulch. It's all part of their giving back to the community philosophy. "What sets us apart," says Dianna, "is our open, honest, efficient way of doing business. Our clients can call on us anytime. We take pride in the work we do and in our reputation."
