Rotary Fundraisers This Weekend for CCAF

    The Rotary Club of Central will host two fundraising events this weekend, proceeds from which will benefit the Central Community Assistance Foundation (CCAF).  CCAF helps provide items like uniforms, school supplies, and food (in partnership with the Central Food Bank) to Central students and their families.
    The first fun event this weekend will be “Comedy Central,” featuring comedians Kent Gonsoulin and Murray Conque.  This will be held at Kristenwood on Greenwell Springs Road.  There will be food and a cash bar.  Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door.  Doors open at 6PM, and the show begins at 7.
    The second event is the annual “Bedlam in Central” bed race.  Participating teams of five or more pajama-clad competitors push wheeled, decorated beds in a race with other teams.  Spectators are welcome!  If you would like to form a team of friends or co-workers, call Suzonne at 261-7484 or Jennifer at 937-3553, or email [email protected] for details.  Teams may also sign up at the event.  Registration will open at 9AM on Saturday, and the race will begin at 10.  The bed race will be held at the new school complex off of Sullivan Road.  Come to either or both of these events to help our local students.
