The Central High School Wildcat Volleyball team has emerged as one of the top area teams. Ranked #5 in The Advocates "area large school division" (divisions I-II) the Wildcats jump back into district play this week. With an overall record of 10-6, and a district record of 1-0, the Wildcats still have a tough road ahead of them.
"We have three seniors who play key roles for us, Paige Roberts, Brenna Ferguson and Korie Melancon," Said Coach Michele LeBouef, "The rest of our team is made up of young players who are getting the hang of things very quickly. We played a tough schedule very early in the season and it has put us in a great position to start district play."
"I am so proud of the fight, determination and teamwork that has been shown so far this season and I hope to carry that into the next few weeks. I'm excited about the potential I see in these girls, and I know we will improve even more as the season progresses" said LeBouef.
"It's fun. It's very fun. I think we're going to do really well this season," Said Freshman Jordan Stephens.
Coming off of a 3 game sweep of The Dunham School on Monday, 9/24, the Wildcats are set to take on St. Michael the Archangel (away) Tuesday, 9/24 and Plaquemine High (home) on 9/26. We welcome all Central Community School System Students and families to our home matches! The Lady Wildcats hope to see you soon!
