Potentially, the recent Beaver Bayou Flood Risk Analysis study funded by the City shows that over 1,000 Homeowners in Central could be removed from flood zones A and AE and placed in Zone X where they would not be required to carry flood insurance. With flood insurance premiums rising at alarming rates, the savings to Central Homeowners would be a welcome relief.  MAPS of study area will be available.

Plan must now be submitted to FEMA for approval and implementation.  Come see if you are in the study area and get your questions answered.
