Don & Louise Thompson Celebrate 50 Years Together

Don and Louise Thompson celebrated their 50^th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends, including Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne and his wife, Cathy, at a dinner at Sammy’s Grill Central on June 22^th. 

The honorees have two sons, Chris Thompson and Glenn Thompson and wife, Shannon,  five grandchildren, Heather Milligan and husband, Justin, Jordan Thompson, Grant and Jack Thompson and T.J. Thompson, great-granddaughters, Bryleigh Thompson, Kylie and Chloe Milligan, and awaiting the arrival of  their great-granddaughter,  Aubrie Elizabeth Milligan in August. 

The Thompsons were married on June 22, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Antonio, TX.  The dinner was also attended by Larry and Susan Fritz from Marion, TX, the honoree’s brother and his wife.  She is the former  Louise Fritz of San Antonio, TX.  Don and Louise have resided in Baton Rouge since 1963 and have lived in Central for the past 40 years.   Don is an East Baton Rouge Parish Constable..
