Purses for a Purpose
Merle Norman in Central has gotten involved with a a good cause called "Purses for a Purpose". Olivia Grace Lewis, a beautiful little girl that lives in Denham Springs, after months of doctor visits and testing, was told her diagnosis is Batten Disease. This disease is a fatal, inherited disorder of the nervous system that begins at childhood. There is currently no cure or specific treatment. Batten Disease is rare and currently affects 200 children in the world. We need your help and it is FREE! Put those nice, gently used purses to good use and donate them for an auction (the date and time to be disclosed soon on Facebook). Merle Norman has volunteered their store at the corner of Wax and Sullivan as a drop off spot. Please bring donations by the store from now until Wednesday, July 17th at 2PM. 100% of the proceeds go to Olivia's family.
