Fire at Zoe’s Pizza

    The Central Fire Department responded to a commercial building fire (Zoe’s Pizza) at 14112 Greenwell Springs Rd on Monday June 1st @ 11:11pm. First arriving crews made an interior attack and had the fire under control in 20 minutes. The fire started on the buffet line. Heat and smoke damage to the interior of the building about halfway down the walls. After an investigation the cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in the buffet counter.  Baton Rouge Fire Dept. responded as our Rapid Intervention Crew and Eastside Fire Dept. backfilled our Monticello station to cover the southern end of Central’s district should any other calls need to be handled.
