Central Bloomers Host Horticulturist

Central Bloomers Garden Club hosted Bob Souvesture, horticulturist with the LSU AgCenter, at the Central Branch Library on June 19.   The meeting, which was open to the public, was packed full of information on colorful plants both sun and shade that can handle our hot Louisiana summers. Plants such as Lantana, Dragonwing Begonias, Blue Daze, Angel Trumpets and Cone Flower to name a few.  He also discussed tropical plants that do well here and can survive our mild winters. Thanks go out to Bob and the Central Library.
