Rattlesnake Killed in Pride

By  |

Submitted by Arlyn & Susan Bonano
While tending to the yard of a customer in Pride, Arlyn & Susan Bonano of Busy Bee’s Lawnscaping stumbled across this 6 foot rattle snake curled up next to the base of a tree waiting to strike. Susan reached out to grab some sticks and noticed the snake. Arlyn was able to pin the snake to the tree right behind its head, not realizing that it was a rattle snake until he heard the sound of the “rattles”.
Unsure of what brought this creature out of the woods it sure does make you wonder what could be lurking in your own backyard.  With the hot temperatures, creatures like this are always looking for a cool, dark place to rest. All residents in and around the Central area should make sure that they keep debris in their yards picked up.
