By  |
Central – "June in June" is the theme for Republican Women of Central's monthly Membership Meeting and Dinner being held on Monday, June 17th at Sammy's Grill in Central. Members and those interested in joining are encouraged to attend. Socializing and networking begin at 6p.m. followed by meeting at 6:30p.m.

June Williams, state President of the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women, will be the featured guest speaker. 2013 is a big year for the nation's largest political organization of women, over 75,000 nationally and 2,400 and growing in our state. The National Federation is celebrating 75 years of activism simultaneously with the 60th anniversary of the Louisiana state Federation.

RWC's First Vice President and Membership Chairman June Dupuy is also celebrating the tremendous growth of RWC membership to 80 active women and men associate members.  New members will be recognized and photographed. Updates on legislative issues, community service programs and volunteerism will be provided.

Also speaking will be Ron Erickson, Chairman of the City of Central Republican Coalition, a grassroots organization aimed at educating conservative voters, outreach and supporting Republican candidates in and from Central. Membership is open to any registered Republican who has an interest in Central.

RWC members will serve as volunteers at Cooking In Central Friday and Saturday. Tommie Morden, Recording Secretary and coordinator of servers for the Cook Off plate lunches, reminds all Community and Hospitality Committee members volunteering to arrive by 9a.m. early on June 8, ready to greet our guests from Moore, OK and attendees with the hospitality Central is know for!

The meeting including dinner is $20 per person with selection of four entrees, beverage and door prize ticket payable by cash, check or credit card. For membership information, contact June Dupuy at (225)978-6096 or email [email protected].
