“Coach” Wales Reassigned

By  |

Superintendent Mike Faulk announced at Monday’s School Board meeting that Central High School Principal Bob Wales will be making a lateral move into other administrative duties effective July 1st.   In his new role he will evaluate, oversee and in some cases create, programs in support of Advanced Placement, ACT Testing, Career Technical Education and College and Career Readiness.
“Coach” Wales will also be considering the establishment of an Early College Academy at CHS, the expansion of On-Line Course Options for students, and the establishment of an Alternative School for grades 8-12.  Finally, he will be the Hearing Officer for the school system.
Sentiment in the community is that Coach Wales is well loved by many and will be missed in his role at Central High School.  He has had a tremendous influence on generations of students and it is hoped that these new responsibilities will give him even greater opportunities to have a life-long impact on Central’s next generation.
