CHS Jazz Band Ranks Superior

The Central High Jazz Band performed at the 2013 Loyola University Jazz Festival in New Orleans on Friday, March 8th where they received superior ratings from all judges. This year, twenty-five bands from across Louisiana performed during this two-day event. In addition to having their performances judged, each band had the opportunity to attend Master Classes, where professional musicians performed some of their compositions, answered questions and offered insights and musical advice to the audience. Directed by Mr. Patrick Bordelon, the CHS jazz band will perform at the upcoming Cooking for Central.
