Victory Academy's Student Council recently held a pet drive to help raise awareness for the Northside Humane Society.  Academy students not only brought in supplies and food but also made generous financial contributions.  Donations were made by the owner of Homekey Real Estate, Heather Verrett, Mindy and Brian Lubecke, Brad Pike, manager of Central's Raising Cane's and the Victory Academy Student Council.  In total, $850 in cash donations and many pet supplies were donated to the Northside Humane Society.
Victory's Student Council planned a field trip to visit the Yelp Animal Shelter on Friday, February 1 to deliver the supplies and cash donation.  Yelp is an animal welfare organization that is committed to addressing the problem of pet overpopulation and animal suffering by providing animal care, education, and facilitating pet adoptions.  Victory Student Council would like to encourage everyone who loves animals to reach out and volunteer at facilities/organizations like Yelp and the Humane Society.  The Student Council is sponsored by Cookie Valentine.
