Two of Central Church's youth were shining for Jesus on Saturday, March 2nd.  Cristiana Shaffer started the freezing cold morning at LSU Purple and Gold gymnastics meet where she qualified for the state meet.  This was quite an accomplishment since she had returned to gym in January after being out for nearly 2 years.  She also plans to represent CHS at the high school state meet in April.  Immediately following her gym meet, she met up with her friend, Liz Rocco at South Park in Denham Springs for the LHSA show.  It was a bitter cold day and most of the people looked like popsicles, but the girls good runs fired us all up in our innards.
Liz came in 1st place in peewees across the board in timed events except poles which she came in 2nd. She also was reserve hi-point. Cristiana came in 1st in poles & 2nd in barrels, straightaway, & arena race.  We are thankful to God for keeping all participants safe and giving us such a blessed day.  By the way, horse shows are family friendly events. Check out the schedules for nearby clubs at LHSA or DSSHSA.
