“Passion for Fashion” Gala Fundraiser and two raffles hosted by the Republican Women of Central are planned featuring 50 local celebrities and community leaders, the season’s best fashions from boutiques and retailers, live performances and military tribute.
The event will take place Friday, March 8, 2013 at Kristenwood in Central, located at 14025 Greenwell Springs Road in Central, LA. A Celebrity Reception starts at 6p.m. and the show starts at 7p.m.
Two big raffles will also be drawn at the event, each for $10 per ticket. The first is for $1,000 in Restaurant gift cards donated by Sammy’s Grill, Flemings Steak House, DeAngelos, Caliente’s Mexican Cravings, Boutins, Crawford’s Two, Dearman’s, Don’s Seafood & Steak House, Our Place Seafood & Steak Restaurant, and Subway in Central . RWC First Vice President and Fashion Show C-Chairman June Dupuy said the generosity and outpouring of support for the raffle has been exceptional.
The second raffle is for an Antique style 7ft solid wood and glass cabinet donated by Junk In The Trunk owners Debbie and Kenny Dougherty, and Brittany Fryday. Tickets are also $10. Cabinet measures 74x84x17” and is valued at over $600. Raffle tickets sold separately for $10 and winner does not have to be present to win.
A silent auction will feature a large copper awning valued at $500, donated by Copper Design by Randy Dupuy, including installation for the lucky high bidder, among the items available.
This year’s theme of “Passion for Fashion” was chosen because of the passion and pride RWC members have for preserving our nation and our freedoms, for our community and state.
Proceeds will support RWC’s Education and Literacy Programs, to purchase dictionaries for over 425 Central area 3rd graders for the third consecutive year, to support military appreciation programs, Blue Star Moms, and community services vital to the area.
