    Type 1 or Type 2? Old Hand or Newly Diagnosed? Maybe a friend or loved-one has Diabetes? Would you like to learn more about Diabetes, or reinforce what you already know? We welcome all who have Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes including family, friends and any others in a supporting role.

The Tell-Tale Heart, A Heart Health Presentation
    The Tell-Tale Heart, a heart health presentation, will be held at the Zachary Branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library on Thursday, February 14, at 11:00 a.m.
    Professionals from Lane Regional Medical Center will offer free blood pressure screenings, and provide CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) demonstrations and AED (automated external defibrillator) demonstrations.
    Dr. Charles Thompson, an interventional cardiologist with Cardiovascular Institute of the South, will present the latest information on ways to improve your heart health.

Free Prenatal & Newborn Care Class
    Lane Regional Medical Center will offer a FREE prenatal and infant care class on Saturday, February 16, at 10:00 a.m. in the Staff Development Classroom.
    “The Pregnancy Workshop” is an overview of what to expect during pregnancy and delivery for the soon-to-be mom. “Baby Care Basics” covers all you need to know to care for your newborn in the first weeks of life. Partners are encouraged to attend. Child care is NOT provided. Registration is required. Please call 225-654-LANE (654-5263) to register.
