Republican Women of Central started 2013 in full swing with three outstanding events of the club:
Declaring a year of “HERITAGE OF HOSPITALITY,” a new board of directors, preparing for our Fashion Show in March and celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women (LFRW).
The year kicks off Monday, January 21, 2013 with a dinner meeting at Sammy’s Grill in Central, located at 14800 Wax Road in Central. Socializing and networking will begin when the doors open at 6:00 P.M. Meeting and dinner begin at 6:30 P.M. Cost for dinner is $15.00 per person including choice of 4 entrees, beverage and door prize ticket.
The newly elected RWC Executive Board is as follows:
Debbie Dougherty, President, June Dupuy, First Vice President, Treasurer, Louise Rauls, Recording Secretary, Tommy Morden, Corresponding Secretary, Lauren Ventrealla, and Immediate Past President, Joan Lansing.
Serving as Members At Large are: Judy Clay and Claudette Whisnant
Several committee chairmen serving on the Board of Directors will be announced at the January 21st meeting.
Membership renewals are due at this time. Dues are $35.00 for registered Republican Ladies that are not affiliated with another Republican Women’s club as a member. Gentlemen who are registered Republicans are welcome to join our club as Associate Members for $25.00 per year.
Guest speakers will be the newly elected Louisiana State Supreme Court Judge Jeff Hughes, Appellate Judge Mike McDonald, and Family Court Judge Charlene Charlet Day who are very familiar faces in the Central Community. Our speakers are familiar and deal with the importance of Christian family values in society in their court room every day. Please join us and renew or join our group in fighting for America and her preservation.
