Three public servants, Central resident LA State Police Trooper Chase Huvall, Off Duty St. George Firefighter Jonathan Dixon, and Off Duty Baton Rouge Police Corporal Patrick Wenneman arrived at this scene and found an unconscious and injured woman in a burning car.  Her car had collided with a gravel truck on the Livingston Parish side of Magnolia Bridge over the Amite River.  The three men broke out the window of the vehicle and pulled the woman to safety.  While firefighters and law enforcement officers will quickly tell you that they don't do the job for the recognition, it is reassuring to know that, on or off duty, our public servants are trained and willing to step in and ensure our safety even at their own personal risk.
