CMS Football Players Chosen for National Tournament

By  |

Central Middle football players Chance Atkins, Gabriel Brown, Jearlmiah Ward, E’Darius Anderson, and Joshua Herbert have received the honor of being selected as some of the nation’s top youth football players by Football University (creators of the U.S. Army All-American Game).  They will participate in the 2012 Football University National Championship Tournament. The players were recognized because one of the football parents sent a highlight film of the team to Football University.
They are members of the Southeast (SE) Louisiana Team, which consist of elite players mainly from the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metropolitan areas. Last week, they defeated NW Louisiana in Shreveport, LA and on Dec 9th, they competed against Team St. Louis in Kansas City, MO.  If they win the next three games, they will participate in the 2012 Youth National Championship Game on January, 6, 2013 in the Alamodome (San Antonio, Texas).
The CMS Football coaching staff is very happy for our players! They have the opportunity to display their skills on a national level and we know they will do a great job representing Central Middle School and our community.
