CHS Homerooms Adopt Local Families for the Holidays

By  |

This year at CHS, student council has partnered up with our district office to allow students to participate in the true spirit of Christmas. Each homeroom adopted a family or child from our community who needed some extra help this holiday season. Students fulfilled special requests ranging from basic necessities to toys and treats. Our student council, led by Breigh Allen, worked with the homerooms to collect the goods and prepare them for distribution.
During Christmastime, donating to charities around the world is an excellent way to say thank you for the success and good fortune you have experienced during the year. Don’t forget that there are people in your own community, perhaps in your own neighborhood, who could benefit from your goodwill as well. An extra plate of cookies for a busy neighbor, a thank-you card for the mail carrier, or offering a free babysitting session for parents trying to find time to shop are all simple ways to take part in the spirit of the season.  This year, don’t let your generosity end with a single donation; good deeds are not simply something to check off a to-do list.
