Hooper & Sullivan Rezoning Going Back to Council

By  |

Council Member Aaron Moak has confirmed that he has requested the rezoning of the northeast corner of Hooper and Sullivan to be placed on next Tuesday's agenda for introduction. This would allow a vote at the January 8th Council meeting on whether to allow the half-condemned building at Hooper & Sullivan to be torn down and replaced with a new, smaller retail/office building.  The rezoning was initially denied by a 3-2 vote in October with Council Members Messina, Washington and LoBue voting to stop the project.  The public is invited to attend the January 8th Council meeting and anyone wishing to speak for or against the rezoning request will have that opportunity prior to a Council vote.
