Make a Legal Career Decision for a Work-Life Balance

Picture this decision. You just graduated from high school and you are undecided on a four year college.
You don’t  feel prepared academically or financially. You enroll at Baton Rouge College (BRC) in our Paralegal  Program and start night classes. You have a day time job and in  two years could be working in a local law firm with a career decision.
Picture this decision. You started a four year college but found the classes too large, you are locked out of required courses due to class size limits, and professors are apathetic to the individual student. You don’t understand why you have to take so many courses unrelated to your major, and the big gaps in time in your class schedule means it’s well into the afternoon before you are finished with class for the day making it difficult to maintain a work schedule. You find it hard to believe that cross country parking is not a course for credit. You enroll at Baton Rouge College with classes of 15 students or less , apply for financial aid and start a part time job, and in two years could be working in a Federal Government Agency with a career decision.
Picture this decision. You are 30 to 50 years of age with children, have mounting debt and a job with no direction. You enroll at BRC, start a new career, work part time, receive financial aid and a living expense stipend, and in two years you are placed with a local community service organization  THAT HAPPENS TO BE YOUR LIFE LONG DREAM.
The beginning of a great career change or a great first career is blooming.
Baton Rouge College is a great alternative to a four year college. The college offers a work-life balance for students who work during the day while attending school at night. Our goal is to teach, with on-the-job training, a professional career and guide you to graduate with little or no school debt. For parents, BRC offers child care services for students to attend night classes. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. In addition, we accept TOPS scholarships, VA funding, and private funding options.
Baton Rouge College has trained students in the Paralegal field for more than two and a half decades.
Students are taught by practicing attorneys the essentials to effectively do the job upon graduation. More than 250 licensed attorneys have shared their knowledge with our students. These attorneys have made recommendations for improvements  over the years, and these recommendations have resulted in a unique paralegal curriculum.
There is a new demand for highly trained Paralegals. Based on a report in the Occupational Outlook Handbook and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of paralegals is expected to grow by 28% by 2018.This occupation attracts many applicants and competition for jobs will be strong.  Paralegals with formal training should have the best prospects.
Private law firms hire the majority of paralegals, however, the Federal Justice System hires the largest number of paralegals in the Federal Government. Job opportunities will continue to expand for paralegals in the public sector. Community legal-service programs, which provide assistance to the poor, elderly, minorities, and middle income families, employ additional paralegals.
With the demand for paralegals in both the private and public sectors expected to grow, contact Baton Rouge College TODAY  to enroll and begin YOUR professional career in Paralegal studies.
