P&Z Approves Rezoning, Council Vote Tuesday

The rezoning of a property on Hooper Road in the area designated as "City Center" was recommended for approval by the Planning & Zoning Commission last week. The applicant seeks to open a seafood market & deli in the former Sadie's Closet building on the south side of Hooper between Sullivan & Joor. This request to rezone from Rural to Light Commercial 1 will be heard by the City Council on November 27th. In October the City Council voted 3-2 to deny that same rezoning request at the nearby intersection of Sullivan & Hooper.
