CAPA Corner: Words of Encouragement from the Central Area Pastor’s Association

I am writing this article the week of the Central Community Thanksgiving Worship Service. It is Wednesday Night this week at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church. So as you are reading this, keep in mind that the Worship Service was held last night.  If you could not attend, ask someone how it went.  I bet you get a good report!
This is the 5th annual service!  We rotate the service between 3 of the larger churches in Central – Greenwell Springs Baptist, St. Alphonusus Catholic, and Zoar Baptist.  This year we will have Methodists, Catholics, Presbyterians, Assembly of God, Non-Denominational, and Charismatics in attendance.  Everybody is welcome!  The key is not what denomination you belong to, but who is your Lord and Savior.  If his name is Jesus Christ, we can worship Him together, and love one another!
I love the City of Central!  The Central Pastors are wonderful men of God.  The Central churches really do work together, and the people of Central are great.  Perhaps the greatest need in the world today is that Christians come together in unity and faith, lay down their differences, and worship God!  That’s what we did last night at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church! I am glad we did!
