Zachary Celebrates Opening of Performing Arts Auditorium with Chamber Choir Performance

    On Tuesday,  November  13 at 6 PM the Campina Grande Chamber Choir from Brazil will perform at the Zachary High School Performing Arts Auditorium located at 4100 Bronco Lane t in Zachary.  Admission is free and open to the public.  The choir is under the direction of Dr. Vladimir Silva.  The Chamber Choir is composed of college students and members of the community whose purpose is to promote music education through choral music.  They will perform an eclectic repertoire including works from the Renaissance period to contemporary pieces for choir.  The Zachary United Methodist Church choir will join the Chamber Choir in the performance of at least one piece.  
    This event will be the premier opening of the Performing Arts Auditorium.  The Zachary Community Schools, Zachary United Methodist Church, and the Regional Arts Council of Zachary are all working together to host Dr. Silva and his Chamber Choir.
