Denham Trio Arrested in 10 Burglaries

    On October 11th Brian Fugler, Rachel Nicholson and Sally Spence, all of Denham Springs, were arrested by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office and upon questioning by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office have confessed to a total of 10 burglaries in the Central Area.  Spence stated that she and Nicholson would stand guard by their vehicle as Fugler committed the burglaries.  Spence stated that the stolen items were then pawned and the money split three ways.
    Detectives have since recovered in excess of $70,000 of the stolen items from pawn shops in Livingston and Ascension Parishes.  (See photo above.)  The ten burglaries to which the Denham trio has confessed occurred on Lovett Rd., Joor Rd., Hwy 64, Tucker Rd., Ednie Lane and E. Mount Pleasant Rd.
Watson Man Cornered by Victim & Arrested
    Anthony Spell of Watson was arrested by an EBRSO officer on 10/8 at the Dollar Store on Joor Road.  Upon his arrest he stated that he has a drug problem and steals to support his habit.
    The victim stated that he was called by his neighbor who informed him that there was a unknown subject going into his shop and loading tools and other items on the back of a green truck. The victim stated while on his way home he observed the Defendant turning off of this street and observed his wife’s bike on the back of the Defendant’s truck. The victim stated he followed the vehicle to the Dollar Store and blocked it in until Deputies arrived on scene. The Defendant further advised the Defendant was the son of his wife’s best friend.
    In the possession of Spell Deputies also found items including several spools of copper wire , an HP printer, a Tool bag, and wire jacks that were found the be stolen during a burglary of Linx Electric located at 13016 Joor Rd.  Spell also attempted to flee as he was being arrested but was placed into custody after a brief struggle.  He was later booked into Parish Prison.
