Re: August 2012 Building Permits

During the month of August 2012 in the city of Central, a total of 10 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $2,279,402.

Within these permits, two were issued in Burlington Lakes with an average valuation of $164,036; two in Wisteria Lakes with an average valuation of $204,601; two in Woodstock with an average valuation of  $236,079; one on Devall Rd valued at $276,414; one on Greenwell Springs Rd valued at $367,498; one in Boganvilla valued at $152,440; and one in Plantation Way valued at $273,618.  A total of 100 new residential home permits have been issued so far this year.

Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.

On the commercial side in August, permits were applied for the following businesses:

            1)  Fantastic Sam’s, 10218 Sullivan Rd, Suite C; 1,420 sq. ft remodeling

            2)  Banah Enterprises, Inc., 8755 Sullivan Rd, Bldg Five; 3,165 sq ft. new construction
