Isaac Shuts Down Central

By  |

As of press time for Central Speaks, Hurricane Isaac is bearing down on south Louisiana, bringing wind and rain to the City of Central.  With the threat of sustained tropical storm force winds, Central is effectively closed for the duration of the storm…except for many of our public servants.  (See EOC article below.)  On its current track Isaac is likely to dump 10 plus inches of rain in our area and bring wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH causing extended power outages.  Central Speaks will report on the aftermath of the storm next week.  Check CentralSpeaks.com and the City Facebook Page for additional updates.
