Roundabout Delay May End

By  |

The Roundabout under construction at the entrance to the new school facility on Sullivan Road may soon be back on track for completion.  The Central Community School Board is scheduled to meet at noon today, August 23rd, to consider approving a settlement to purchase a small plot of property currently under dispute.  With a favorable resolution at this meeting, construction could resume unimpeded.
The piece of property in question is the 1,000 square foot triangular shaped northwest corner at Sullivan and Gurney.  This property sale would not affect the house on the property.  Once the issue is settled, Central Speaks anticipates providing the details of the issue and its resolution in next week's paper. School Superintendent Faulk commented that a resolution of the issue this week would likely put the project on a schedule to be completed by mid-September.
