Wildcats Gear Up for Football: Meet the Wildcats Tonight, Jamboree Tomorrow

    Last Thursday football made its 2012 debut in Wildcat Stadium as Chalmette came to town for a controlled scrimmage.  Coach Sid Edwards reports: "Scrimmage was a huge success.  Our defense showed improvement from the spring and offensively we were in sync.  We are excited about new comer Greg Noel  who will be handling our kicking duties."  The teams ran multiple series featuring first, second and third team Offense and Defense in addition to spending time working on Special Teams.  The scrimmage ended with a twelve minute live quarter of football.  
    Up next for Central is this Friday night's jamboree game in Denham Springs against East Feliciana.  Coach Sid commented: "We have a great challenge in the jamboree against East Feliciana.  There quarterback Beckwith is being recruited by every major college in the country."  Be sure to make the trip across the Amite Friday night to support the team.
