John Purpera Sr. Celebrates His 100th Birthday

HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY PAPA!
John Purpera Sr is celebrating his 100th birthday on August 22, 2012. Born the same year the Titanic sunk, he has seen many changes in our world. His secret to long life is, it's the Grace of God first, staying active and a pure heart. Dad is still very active for 100. He mows his own lawn of about 1 acre and he would rather sweep his 200 foot driveway than use the blower. He is a retired heavy machine operator and he still supervises his grandchildren when they have car problems. He has lived in Central for almost 30 years and you will probably see him at Wal-Mart because he still drives. His wife, Marguerite, of 77 years passed away in January of this year. He has one son, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
