Central Invited to Keep Louisiana Beautiful

   Central Bloomers hosted Leigh Harris from Keep Louisiana Beautiful as well as City of Central Representatives at the July meeting held at the home of Dee Gerbrecht.  After a tour of Dee Gerbrecht and Jean Barnard’s gardens, Ms. Harris gave an informative lecture on the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Organization and the role all citizens play in the efforts to eliminate litter. It is important for us all to remember everyone has a part to play in keeping our city litter free. Take some time, start small with your area or neighborhood. As people see the progress it can inspire them to do the same. 
    An invitation from Keep Louisiana Beautiful was extended for The City of Central to join in these efforts. This is the beginning of a united campaign to “Keep Central Beautiful.” Refreshments were served by Mary Legendre, Ginger Box, Brenda Thevenet, Carolyn Lucas, Pam Wilson and Jean Barnard.
