WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Exodus 4:2, "Then the LORD asked him, 'What is that in your hand?' 'A shepherd’s staff,' Moses replied."
Have you ever thought, " I wish I was able to do something great for God or for my family."  You see the athlete with the multimillion dollar contract buying his mom a house or the young gymnast winning gold at the Olympics to the jubilee of all those in their hometown.  Or maybe you heard about someone who wrote a huge check to charity to fund a program to feed the hungry.  You think, "I wish I had something big to offer."
Many people waste so much time waiting until they can do something big that they miss opportunities for service right now.  Jesus took simple things from ordinary people and turned them into resources beyond imagination.  A shepherds staff, a sling shot, the jawbone of a donkey, a widows offering, a little boys lunch…This same Jesus can take those small, simple things that you can do and multiply them into tremendous blessings for you, as well as for others.  As small as it may seem, He is looking for people who will give Him what they have, and trust Him to do the rest. "What is in your hand?" or more simply put "What CAN you do?"
2 Corinthians 8:12, "Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly.  And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have."
If we all do the little things that we can our families, our churches, our community will be a much better place.
