Tuesday’s City Council Agenda

The Central City Council will meet this Tuesday, July 10 at 6 PM at Kristenwood.  The public is invited.  The agenda is as follows:
I. Preliminary Business
1) Call to Order
2) Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance

4) Approval of the minutes from the June 26, 2012 council meeting.

III. New Business
1) Mayor’s report and presentations.
a) Report from Stacy Richards regarding water quality in Central.
2) Introduction of the following item(s) (with public hearing to be held at the July 24, 2012 council meeting).
a) An ordinance to amend and reenact Section 8:3 Part 1 of Chapter 1 of Title 8 relative to requirements in event of flood hazard and to provide for related matters.  (By Councilman DeJohn)
3) Public Hearing and action regarding the following instrument(s):
a) An  ordinance to repeal certain provisions of Chapter 15 of the Uniform Development Code relative to Floodway, Floodplains and Drainage, to amend and reenact Sections 8:1521 and 8:1533 and to enact Section 8:1538 of Chapter 15 of Title 8 relative to disturbance permits and amendments and to provide for related matters. b) A resolution to adopt the East Baton Rouge Parish Hazard Mitigation Plan, to provide for enforcement and to provide for related matters. (By Council Member Moak)
IV. Zoning Cases
(1) Introduction of the following item(s) (with Public Hearing to be held at the July 24, 2012, council meeting:
a) RZ-1-12 Rezoning This property is located on the north side of Wax Road east of the Willow Brook Drive intersection on a 1.665 acre portion of Lot 4A-1-A formerly of the G.E. Vaughan Property.    The 
applicant is proposing to rezone from Rural to C-AB-1 (Commercial Alcoholic Beverage District One) for a full-service restaurant according to the provided site plan. (Applicant:  Stephen Lacour)
Zoning Commission Action (June 28, 2012): A motion was made by Mr.  T. J.  Johnson  and seconded by Mr. Paul  Burns to approve C-AB-1 based on the recommendation of the Zoning Commission 
with the condition that a 20 foot access servitude be dedicated as shown on the preliminary site plan and constructed to UDC standards.  Vote:  7 yeas (Bonvillain, Burns, Giles, Johnson, Rauls, 
Reado, Walker), 0 nays and the motion carried.
(2) Discussion and action regarding the following case(s):
